Here is a list below of each metro station that are next to our apartments in Montreal.
Place des Arts
The Place des Arts is a major performing arts centre. It is located in the eastern part of the city’s downtown in an area now known as the Quartier des Spectacles. The complex is home to the Opera of Montreal, the Montreal Symphony Orchestra, the Grands Ballets Canadiens, the Contemporary Art Museum of Montreal, the Maisonneuve and Jean-Duceppe theatres, and the Imperial cinema centre. For example, the Place des Arts hosts every summer the Jazz festival that lasts for approximately three weeks and many other festivals or events. The Place des Arts is also close to the Vieux-Port which generally attracts lots of tourists. Since it is located downtown stores, restaurants, grocery stores, nightclubs, and more amenities are really close to your apartments. You can also find the Desjardins complex with its mall, parking lot, and its big square that hosts diverse festivals in Montreal.
Guy-Concordia
The Concordia area is a neighbourhood redevelopment project centered around Concordia’s University. In this area, there are a bunch of things to do due to its location. It is next to Sainte Catherine Street where you can find all types of restaurants; it goes from fast food to casual and fine dining restaurants. You can also find any international food you wish to eat. You may also want to go shopping or go for a walk there is everything you need at only a few minutes from your apartment.
Berri-UQAM
Located in the Quartier Latin which is an area surrounded by UQAM and Saint Denis Street, between downtown and the Gay Village. This area is well known for its theatres, artistic atmosphere, cafes, and boutiques. In this area, there is also the great library of Quebec, Montreal buses transit center. There are also lots of bars, cafes, restaurants, bakeries, etc.
Atwater
Between Westmount and Montreal, the Atwater area provides you an AMC cinema, two malls, and some squares (e.g. Cabot Square). At a reasonable walking distance from downtown which means from all the amenities.
Laurier
The Laurier station is not far from Saint Laurent Boulevard as well as the Sherbrooke station. If you have wished for a stay a bit more quiet and cool, you may opt for an apartment in this area. However, if you choose an apartment in that area you will not be far from Saint Denis Street and Saint Laurent Boulevard which are two busy streets where you can find some restaurants, shops, supermarkets, nightclubs, bars, cafes, etc. In this area, you might want to go for a walk in the Sir Wilfried Laurier Park and you might also want to visit the Saint Denis Church.
Sherbrooke
Close to Saint Louis Park and a pedestrian street called Prince Arthur Street which meets the Saint Laurent Boulevard. The Saint Laurent Boulevard is a busy street with lots of fine dining restaurants, casual restaurants, nightclubs, shops. The station is also close to the La Fontaine Park with its ponds. The location of the apartments near Sherbrooke station is a very quiet area; while at the same time the apartments are not far from downtown Montreal. Saint Denis Street which is also just next to Sherbrooke station also provides lots of restaurants, bars, nightclubs, and shops.
The festivals during the year:
Once you are on the Saint Laurent Boulevard you may want to go to the huge Mont Royal Park where every Sunday during summer there is Les Tams-Tams du Mont-Royal from May 2 to Sept 26.
Every summer you can also go to Sainte Helene Island and Notre-Dame Island which host every Sunday Les Piknic Electronik from May 23 to Nov 3, 2010.
